Data Center Network

A Typical Data center network predominantly consists of several Servers, storage, networking (Routing, switches, crossbar switches, Loadbalancers etc), Applications and DBMS. The Networking strategy is a key component in a Data Center to keep up the performance of the applications. For ex, An application could be running in one server of a Rack and the Database (that the application uses) could be in a Rack in a far end. The Networking should ensure a minimum latency between application and Database communication to maximize the performance of the application. The entire Data center should be reliable, fault-tolerant and agile.

For the smooth running of application workloads / storage service in the Data center, effective monitoring and control should be in place.
